By Josh Hill
Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland was stabbed this morning after getting into an argument at a New York City nightclub.
It has been a scary 12 hours for the Indiana Pacers and forward Chris Copeland. After arriving in New York for a game against the Knicks tonight, the Pacers forward was stabbed in the arm at a nightclub following an argument between the man, Copeland and his wife.

According to the New York Daily News, Copeland was stabbed in the arm and his wife was slashed by an unnamed man. The man was arrested and both Copeland and his wife were rushed to the hospital.
"A former member of the New York Knicks now playing for the Indiana Pacers was stabbed in the abdomen — and his wife slashed — during an argument at 1 OAK club in Chelsea early Wednesday, cop sources said."
It doesn’t appear that Copeland is any life-threatening danger, nor is his wife, but that doesn’t change how scary this incident is. Copeland used to play for the New York Knicks, and has ties to the New York area but it’s unclear if the man who stabbed the Pacers forward had any prior connection to him.
What’s even stranger about the incident is that two Atlanta Hawks players were arrested for obstructing police officers from setting up a crime scene — which isn’t an indictment in their involvement in the stabbing but is a curious part of this unfolding story.
Copland obviously isn’t thinking about the Pacers game tonight, and police are trying to get to the bottom of what happened and why all of this went down.
