Taj Gibson throws down a powerful dunk in transition (video)

You had better get out of the way when Taj Gibson is going at the rim.
Taj Gibson has been one of the best bench players in the NBA for the past couple of seasons. He is having a bit of a down year after a career-best season last year, and the Chicago Bulls will need him to get back to last year’s form if they want to make a deep playoff run.

Chicago isn’t going to catch up to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2-seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but they need to finish the regular season strong to hold down their third seed. Counting tonight’s game, the Bulls only have five games remaining while they have a one-game lead over the Toronto Raptors for the 3-seed.
Out of the five renaming games, tonight’s matchup against the Orlando Magic was supposed to be one of the easiest – but it has been a tight game since the opening tip. The Bulls did get a decent sized lead before the end of the first half, and Gibson had his hand in the run with this emphatic throw down in transition
The game still has the whole fourth quarter to go, but Gibson already has 13 points (71 percent shooting) and five rounds. The 13 points are the most he has scored in a game since mid-February. On the season, Gibson is averaging 10.2 points (50 percent shooting) and 6.3 rebounds per game.
