The Orlando Magic are 25-53 and are really only playing for ping-pong balls (lottery draft) at this point. However, their players are still giving it their all each and every night in the hopes of winning every game they play.
Tonight’s game was against a Chicago Bulls team that actually had a lot to play for. Prior to the game, Chicago only had a one-game lead over the Toronto Raptors for the 3-seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. This means that Chicago really needs to win all their final regular season games so they can secure a higher seeding.
Well, Chicago didn’t win tonight.
The game was close for most of the night, but it was the Magic who came up big when it counted the most.
Oladipo fearlessly attacked Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah (two great defenders) at the rim to win the game. It was quite the impressive play for just a second-year player. He finished the game with 23 points (57 percent shooting), five rebounds, five assists and three steals.
On the season, Oladipo is averaging 17.6 points (44 percent shooting), 4.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
