Jordan Spieth currently approaching new Masters record at -19
If Jordan Spieth can finish lower than 18-under par at the Masters, he’ll set a new all-time scoring record set by Tiger Woods.
Tiger Woods stunned the world back in 1997 as a 21-year-old when he set the all-time Masters scoring record with an 18-under par, 270 finish, becoming the youngest player to ever win the Masters at 21 years and 104 days. Now, Jordan Spieth will look to become the second-youngest player to ever win the tournament and is trying to set the new all-time scoring record.

Jordan Spieth has been a dominant force at Augusta National this week after he set the first round record with a 8-under par-64 and followed with a 66 on Friday. His 2-under par third round sent him to 16-under par for the tournament, setting another record with the best 54-hole score in Masters history.
On Sunday, after a birdie at hole 10, Spieth set the record for most birdies all-time with 26 and he is at 3-under for the day; 19-under for the tournament through 15 holes after a great up and down birdie on the 15th. Spieth is trying to set yet another record on Sunday, and a big one. He is currently one stroke ahead of Tiger’s record for the lowest all-time score, and if he can just hold on for the next three holes, he will have the new Masters scoring record.
Spieth hasn’t been great on the last three holes this week. He only has two birdies and he had a double bogey on 17 on Saturday.
Even if Jordan Spieth can’t break Tiger’s record, he’ll still be proud of what he’s been able to accomplish this week, winning a Green Jacket at such a young age. Spieth has been great all year with his win at the Valspar Championship and six top 10 finishes, and winning the Green Jacket is payoff for all the hard work he’s put into making his golf game one of the best in the world.
But, it looks like Jordan will take the crown as the all-time Masters scoring champion with at least a 269, he just needs to hold off his nerves on three of Augusta National’s toughest three holes.
