Through two shots (both were in the trees), Justin Rose appeared to be in big trouble on hole No. 7 Sunday at the Masters.
However, Rose didn’t just survive the hole, he nearly turned it into a success for him. On his third shot, Rose was maybe an inch from a remarkable birdie and arguably the best shot of the tournament.
Take a look at the shot below:
Also, worth watching: Rose’s close call on the par putt.
Rose’s near-birdie was still an impressive shot, though we’re sure he will look back at it and think about what could have been if he ultimately falls short to Jordan Spieth in the race for the Green Jacket.
Rose is currently five strokes behind Spieth through nine holes of play on Sunday.
