If you’re Darnell Dockett, you grab the bull by the horns and serenade her right there at work, with someone taking a video for the world to see.

So maybe it wasn’t true love, but the 49ers defensive tackle saw an opportunity to serenade a cleaning woman in his hotel, and took advantage of it, singing Jodeci’s ‘Come and Talk To Me’ right to her face.

The life of a hotel cleaning woman can’t be terribly easy, but I doubt they have to deal with personal serenades too often, especially from NFL stars. The woman in the video doesn’t seem like she knows whether to laugh or be creeped out.

He does start and end the song by apologizing to her, so he knows this isn’t exactly what she wanted to deal with right then.

Dockett seems particularly sensitive to criticism of his “art,” captioning both videos with “Im [sic] an artist and Im sensitive about my shit!”

So look out, ladies. Darnell Dockett is coming to hotel near you, and he will serenade you.
