New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw out the first pitch at the Boston Red Sox game on Monday and it wasn’t befitting one of the best NFL passers of all-time.

Tom Brady may be the greatest quarterback in NFL history, but when it comes to throwing a baseball, let’s just say he’s not going to conjure up memories of Pedro Martinez any time soon.

Brady had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the Boston Red Sox game on Monday afternoon and it didn’t go as smoothly as his throws to Rob Gronkowski or Julian Edelman this year.

Granted, it wasn’t as bad as some of the craziest first pitches in the history of first pitches, but I think Brady needs to spend some more time in Triple-A before he gets the call to the big league club.

Not the worst first pitch, right? But you expect Brady would at least get it to David Ortiz without a bounce.

I mean, come on, this is like the Golden Boy skipping a toss down the seam to Gronk and having it bounce three feet in front of him.

If you need a different perspective to see how wild he was, check out a different angle of the toss from Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal.

Did you see how fast that guy moved behind home plate?!

Maybe Brady is more of a hitter than a pitcher?

He stepped in the batting cage and took some hacks against Pedro and took some good cuts, even showed a patient eye by taking a pitch that was more of a “pitcher’s pitch” and Brady just didn’t feel too “hitterish” with that offering.

But the most important part of all this is that Brady is not perfect and there are millions of guys around the country telling themselves they can do something better than the Golden Boy, except for that whole win four Super Bowls thing.
