Allen Iverson is one of the most popular basketball players from the 2000s NBA era. The Philadelphia 76ers guard played as hard as anybody in the league on a nightly basis and proved to everybody that heart is more important than size.
So, it should come as little surprise that Iverson deciding to do a Twitter Q&A from the 76ers’ account was an anticipated event.
The former MVP touched on a number of topics, such as his favorite player growing up and the most difficult player for him to guard while he was in the NBA.
Michael Jordan as Iverson’s favorite player growing up is expected, but Baron Davis as the hardest to guard is an answer that surely caught people off guard. It just serves as a reminder of how great Davis was during his prime years.
Iverson also answered some fun questions, such as whether he could play cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles and who his favorite rappers are.
No Tupac or Eminem? Come on, AI.
Among the other highlights: Iverson says he had a “serial killer” mentality before games, he views LeBron James as the most stylish player in the NBA today and he believes Charles Barkley to be the greatest 76ers player of all-time.
Considering Iverson isn’t on Twitter very often, getting this type of insight from him was really cool. Kudos to the 76ers for setting this up.
When the chat was done, Iverson thanked those who asked questions.
During his 14 years in the NBA, Iverson averaged 26.7 points, 6.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game. He won one MVP and led the 76ers to the NBA Finals once. He also was named to a whopping 11 all-star games.
