Tyus Jones has a lot to be thankful for, and he knows it.

After announcing his intention to declare for the NBA draft on Wednesday, Duke standout Tyus Jones felt the need to thank those that helped him along the way. On his Instagram account, Jones posted a heartfelt letter to his coach, the fans and the university.

"“I want to say thank you to Duke University, the best University in the country for everything it has done for me. Thank you to all the fans for their endless support and for being the best fans in the world. Thank you to my teammates who quickly became my brothers, for allowing me to be myself and also pushing me to become better on and off the court.”“Thank you to all the coaches for all the work they did with me. And lastly, thank you this the man, who game me a once in a lifetime opportunity, who taught me so much on the court, but more than just basketball, he also taught me how to become a better man, brother, son, teammate and much more. I’ll forever be thankful, and will always be a Duke Blue Devil”"

With his announcement, Jones becomes the third freshman from the National Champion Blue Devils to declare for the NBA draft, along with Jahlil Okafor and Justice Winslow.

The 18 year-old point guard was an integral part of Duke’s run to its fifth NCAA national title. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four and led the Blue Devils with 23 points in the National Championship game.

Currently, Jones is projected to be a mid-first rounder in the draft. Both Draft Express and USA Today predict that the Toronto Raptors will select him with the 21st pick.
