With his announcement, Jones becomes the third freshman from the National Champion Blue Devils to declare for the NBA draft, along with Jahlil Okafor and Justice Winslow.
The 18 year-old point guard was an integral part of Duke’s run to its fifth NCAA national title. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four and led the Blue Devils with 23 points in the National Championship game.
Currently, Jones is projected to be a mid-first rounder in the draft. Both Draft Express and USA Today predict that the Toronto Raptors will select him with the 21st pick.
