NBA: Grading each team’s 2014-2015 season

2nd. Central Division, Eastern Conference. CHICAGO BULLS. B. <p>The Bulls are one of the more difficult teams to evaluate this season. At the time of this post, Chicago is jockeying for position toward the third seed in the East with a chance to win 50 games, and that is a “success” for almost any franchise. However, expectations were <i>insanely</i> high in the preseason, with some pundits pegging the Bulls as a clear favorite in the Eastern Conference after the addition of Pau Gasol and the return of Derrick Rose.</p> <p>Speaking of Rose, it has been another roller-coaster season for the former MVP point guard, but he has appeared in 50 games and that may be a win in the grand scheme. In the same breath, Chicago must be evaluated with a different eye given their lack of depth at the position and the fact that Rose missed 31 games, and the Bulls are just 17-14 in games where he is absent.</p> <p>The Pau Gasol acquisition has been an unbridled success, Nikola Mirotic was a great find and Jimmy Butler <a href=
