The NBA playoffs continue on Saturday, with the Pelicans vs Warriors and a matchup that could get messy really quickly.

The Golden State Warriors epitomize a team that can turn it around in a season and become one of the best teams in the league. That’s what they’ve experienced this year, as they’ve been a playoff team in the past, but this is the season they truly popped in a big way.

In that same vein, the New Orleans Pelicans have been able to turn their franchise around, not just their season, and are in the postseason for the first time since a guy named Chris Paul was in town. On Saturday, these two teams collide in what could be one of the more interesting first-round series of the postseason.

More from Golden State Warriors

Anthony Davis took strides this season towards being a superstar in the NBA and while he may not totally be there yet, he has made the Pelicans contenders. They may not be top contenders, but Davis has turned the Pelicans around in a big way and this is more about his growth as a player than it is about the Pelicans making a run at the NBA Finals.

It’s a long series, and the Warriors may be the superior team, but stranger things have happened. The Pelicans are playing with house money — which is a dangerous matchup for a team like the Warriors with so much on the line.

Note: Highlights will update throughout the game and will be posted live as they happen.
