The NBA playoffs got off to a ruckus start in Toronto as the Raptors and Wizards turned in a doozy to tip things off in the postseason.

Usually the very first game of the playoffs isn’t always the best of the day, but the Wizards and Raptors tried hard to change that in Game 1 of their opening round series.

The trash talk was heavy coming into the game, as Paul Pierce did his thing where he ran his mouth and made the opposing fans hate him, and the Toronto media went ahead and trolled him in a public forum.

But all of that took a backseat to the game itself, as the Wizards and Raptors turned in a game that could end up being a precursor to a wildly entertaining series. Things got started in the first half with Washington controlling much of the pace — as well as the score — but Toronto wasn’t to be counted out.

Toronto stormed back in the fourth quarter to slice up the Wizards lead and make the matchup a real ballgame down the stretch. The Wizards are one of the worst fourth quarter teams in basketball, posting a minius-6.6 efficiency rating while the Raptors aren’t the best but rank 11th with plus-2.2.

That was on full display when the Raptors stormed back and proved that this won’t be a series easily won by the Wizards.

Here’s a look at the highlights and plays you’ll be talking about tomorrow:
