NBA Playoffs, Warriors vs Pelicans Game 1 Results: Full video highlights
By Josh Hill
The Warriors vs Pelicans opening round game was more exciting than we thought it was going to be, with the Pelicans taking the Dubs down to the wire in a thrilling series premiere.
The Golden State Warriors had jitters coming into their first playoff series as a No. 1 seed, and Steph Curry led the charge in a big way. The Splash Brothers went nuts against the Pelicans and the Dubs obliterated the Pelicans, who were shell shocked from the start.
You can’t blame the Pelicans for their performance, as they limped into the postseason and the highlight of their year was watching the team clinch a postseason berth. Everyone knows that New Orleans doesn’t stand a chance against the Warriors, but they’re playing with house money and they’re exciting to watch nonetheless.

New Orleans managed to come within six-points with under a minute left in the game, which is something to note moving forward as New Orleans gets their footing and starts to figure things out. They may not win the series, but this is just the start of the ride for Anthony Davis and the Pelicans, and this is an experience you can already see him growing from in the future.
In the end, the Warriors proved to be way too much for the Pelicans — as we expected — but there was still a lot to love form both sides.
Here are the plays you should be talking about with your friends tomorrow:
It’s a long series, and the Warriors may be the superior team, but stranger things have happened. The Pelicans are playing with house money — which is a dangerous matchup for a team like the Warriors with so much on the line. Golden State took Game 1, but this could be a series that New Orleans easily takes a game or two in, which would be amazing to see.
