LPGA player hits two amazing shots to win the tournament
By Andrew Ross
This might be one of the greatest golf moments in the history of the sport.
Don’t worry if you’re unaware of who Sei Young Kim is, because you will remember her after seeing what she did yesterday.
The final round of the LPGA Tour’s Lotte Championship was yesterday, and it went down to the wire in dramatic fashion.
It all started on the last hole in regulation when Kim was able to chip-in to send the tournament into a playoff between herself and Inbee Park.
This shot would have been enough clutch for the day, but Kim was saving the (very) best for last.
When the playoff started, Kim shockingly ended things earlier than expected when she holed out from 154 yards off the fairway.
Does it get any better than that? Kim knocked in an eagle to finish off the weekend and get her second win of the season. The best part about the shot might have been how everyone is kind of in shock after it happens and no one understands what is going on. However, everyone celebrates the miraculous moment after it’s announced that she had won.

That shot probably would have been the best thing most golfers have ever done, but not for Kim. After the victory, Kim explained that this is only the second-best shot she has ever had. “In 2013, I won a tournament which had the biggest prize money of KLPA. I won that tournament by making a hole-in-one on 17, so that was probably my most memorable shot. Sorry.”
Really? Has Kim’s career been one dramatic movie that always has a happy ending? It seems that way, anyways.
It really is amazing that she has hit multiple clutch shots of this magnitude at the young age of 22. Hopefully these moments don’t slow down for her.
