The Chicago Bulls head coach struggled to locate a reporter following the Bulls 103-91 win in their first game against the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA playoffs’ first round.

Following the Chicago Bulls win in game one of their best-of-seven first round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, head coach Tom Thibodeau was only in the mood to think about his favorite things, like only allowing mid range shots and finding a way to disappoint the New York Knicks. Unfortunately he had to provide a post-game interview for the media.

He was not mentally ready to process an interview, particularly when a reporter asked a mumbling question about the given intensity of the playoffs or something incoherent.

Thibodeau tried to use echolocation to find the source of the question.

You gotta close your eyes and make clicks, Thibs. Otherwise you’re just surrounded by other stimuli, like sight and touch and smell and Chris Broussard.

That relieved little smile at the end there is adorable. He’s thinking to himself, “Got ’em in the cross-hairs; another one down for Tommy.”

Thibodeau is probably unhappy with the lack of defensive effort early in the game for the Bulls, who were able to gradually outpace the Bucks 103-91 without ever dominating the game. But the team did their job offensively, aided by the returns explosive play of point guard Derrick Rose and All-Star shooting guard Jimmy Butler.

Reporters should be used to this type of focus. He only has so much to spare for the playoffs.
