A look at the schedule that was released on Tuesday for the Houston Texans

The NFL schedules for the 2015 season were released on Tuesday for all teams, one of which was the Houston Texans.

The Texans finished last season with a 9-7 record and were just outside of the playoff race in the AFC. The team will be looking to make a run at the playoffs again and will be doing it without Andre Johnson on the roster. The two sides decided to part ways and he is now playing for the division rival Colts now. It will be interesting to see him in a new uniform next season.

The Texans will need to figure out the situation at quarterback. Ryan Fitzpatrick was traded to the New York Jets in the offseason and Ryan Mallett was given an extension, but the team did sign Brian Hoyer onto the roster. Who will start for the Texans at the position? That will be the biggest question on offense.

On defense, the Texans can always lean on J.J. Watt to make an impact on the defensive line. He is the best player in the game and has been doing a lot of work in the offseason to get even better. The team added Vince Wilfork to the line to clog up lanes and create some room for the linebackers to work. How will the opposing offensive line deal with those two big men on the roster taking up blockers? Someone is going to get to the quarterback.

The Texans will make another run at the playoffs and have all the pieces to make it happen. They just need to figure out who will be the best signal caller for the team. Let’s just throw J.J. Watt under center and see what he can do.
