The NFL schedules for the 2015 season were released on Tuesday for all teams, one of which was the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans finished the 2014 season tied with the worst record in the league with only 2 wins on the year. The team will be looking to make improvements this year with the 2nd overall selection in the NFL Draft. What will the Titans do with the selection? Will they add Leonard Williams to the defense? Will they add Marcus Mariota to call the plays on offense? Will they trade the pick and get a quarterback like Philip Rivers on the roster?
There has been a lot of rumors flying for the team before the draft and there is a lot of possibilities for them in the next couple of weeks. The draft could change the whole outlook on the season.
At the moment, Zach Mettenberger is expected to call the shots under center. He started 6 games for the Titans last season and did not win any of his games. Jake Locker is no longer around to play quarterback, so it will be up to Mettenberger to get the team out of the funk. Charlie Whitehurst currently is his backup.
The Titans will have to face the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts twice during the season. Those are some tough games for the Titans to win the way the roster currently stands. The team needs to find talent to compete with the other teams in the division. Adding a big name like Rivers could give them a chance to make a run. It still would be tough to get to that level.
