Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard and Dallas Mavericks center Tyson Chandler got into a little scuffle during Game Two.

The Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are rivals in every sense of the word, exchanging blows on the court and in the offseason. It is the primary reason that the Mavericks-Rockets playoff series in the first-round is so incredibly entertaining.

I mean if the players on the court weren’t exchanging blows and it was just Rockets general manager Daryl Morey and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban this would be less entertaining.

One of the most intriguing wrinkles in the series is the battle down low between the centers, Dwight Howard and Tyson Chandler. The two clashed on Tuesday night in Game Two of the series.

Now let’s be realistic about this, neither guy came out looking particularly tough in this. Chandler gave Howard a shove in the back, and then Howard bumped into him… from behind as well.

Then there is a minor confrontation and some guys a foot or shorter than both of them separated them.

But what makes this interesting is that tempers are boiling over and there will be at least another two games in the series. If the Mavericks can get some wins and force this to go the distance, like they did last year against the San Antonio Spurs, we could get some incredible drama between the two big men, as well as the teams.
