One of the most obvious potential landing spots for Johnny Manziel is with the Philadelphia Eagles. While he has struggled tremendously during his brief NFL career, the young quarterback could be a great fit in Chip Kelly’s fast-paced offense.

Kelly’s offense is predicated on speed, and it is no secret that he has been coveting a mobile quarterback to run his spread offense. His eye is most definitely on his former player and top draft prospect Marcus Mariota, but it is highly unlikely that the Eagles will be able to land him in with pick No. 20.

Manziel, on the other hand, may not even require a first round pick, at least not in this year’s draft. If Philadelphia were to send Cleveland a future first round pick or an attractive package of second and third rounders, however, I could see the Browns possibly pulling the trigger on the deal.

You may find yourself asking, did the Eagles not just trade for former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford? Well have you seen Bradford play recently?

The answer is no because he is always injured. I think Bradford has tremendous potential, but the Eagles would be smart to take a look into a potential game changer like Manziel as a backup plan for their injury-prone new quarterback.

Quarterbacks tend to excel in Chip Kelly’s offense, and Manziel could be the best fit yet for his fast-paced offense. There is a reason why he recruited Manziel heavily, and nearly landed him, while at Oregon.
