James Harden hit a huge shot at the end of regulation as the Rockets held on for a win over the Dallas Mavericks.

A night after Steph Curry hit a big shot at the end of regulation to give his team new life, James Harden did the same as the Rockets held on for the win over the Mavericks.

The Rockets had a sizable lead late in the fourth quarter, but to the credit of the Mavericks, they fought back.

With just a one-point lead, James Harden had the ball with time dribbling down on the clock.

As Mavericks center Tyson Chandler had his seven-foot frame draped over Harden, he made an incredible step-back jumper and got the friendly bounce.

The clutch shot would be all that it ended up taking for Houston to escape with the victory in Game 3.

The Mavericks had a couple chances at the end but could not convert.

A night after people were saying the MVP race was over because of Curry’s heroics, Harden answered back with some of his own.

Now Houston has Dallas right on the brink of elimination and looks like one of the strongest teams in the west.

When you’re on like James Harden, the lucky bounce tends to fall your way.
