NHL Playoffs, Wild vs. Blues Game 5 live stream: Watch online
By Josh Hill
The NHL Playoffs are well underway, and the Wild vs. Blues series is one that has become thrilling in more than one way.
The Minnesota Wild are supposed to play different hockey at home in the Xcel Energy Center, as they have the home crowd behind them and seem to be energized in a way few other franchises are by their home crowds. That fazed the St. Louis Blues in Game 3, but they very quickly got over it for Game 4 when they put up 6 goals on the Wild and blew them out of their own building.
For three straight years, the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues have made the NHL Playoffs but haven’t made it to the Stanley Cup despite strides they’ve both taken. This year, the Blues entered the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference while the Wild once again made the playoffs as a wild card.
St. Louis is looking to ride that 6-goal performance in Game 4 to what they hope will be a series defining win tonight. Some could argue that the series was defined on Wednesday, but the series could still tilt in Minnesota’s favor unless the Blues can dominate again.
