Paul Pierce was still the truth on Friday as he hit the dagger against the Toronto Raptors to cap off the Wizards victory.

Paul Pierce is still undoubtedly the one and only truth in the NBA.

With a chance to help the Wizards put the Raptors on the brink of extinction, Paul Pierce hit the dagger to ice the Raptors chances of winning their first game in the series.

With time running out on the clock and the Wizards up three, Pierce pump-faked the defender and hit the open three to put the Wizards up six and to seal the win for Washington.

The veteran Pierce made the veteran move getting the defender to bite on the play.

If there was any doubt if Paul Pierce is indeed the truth, the filthy shot to dispatch Toronto on Friday night is all the evidence that Pierce is still the man.

Pierce has been one of the most underrated additions this off-season and has provided sage wisdom to a young Wizards team that continues to grow in this league.

Now, the Wizards with Pierce look to move on and could definitely make a run at the Eastern Conference Championship.

It doesn’t matter what age Paul Pierce is, if he has the big shot, he’s going to make it.

Now that’s the truth.
