3. Clippers can’t hang

As fun as the LA Clippers are to watch, there is just no way they can compete with the Houston Rockets. They are currently having some trouble with the San Antonio Spurs in round one. But even if they do get past the reigning champions, they will meet their match in the Rockets.

The Clippers don’t have anyone to guard neither Howard nor Harden. This is going to turn into Harden getting guarded by Matt Barnes until Doc Rivers slowly realizes that no one can lock down the Rockets’ forward. Additionally, even if Howard does lose in the effort battle with DeAndre Jordan, he is sure not to lose in the free throw battle. Worst comes to worse, a hack-a-Jordan method of defense would work splendidly against the Clippers center who has shot an abysmal 40 percent from the free throw line this season.

It’s hard to see the Clippers beating the Rockets in a seven-game series. After all, the Rockets will be rested and ready to go by the time the Clips make it anywhere close to the second round, and that is considering they do get past the Spurs.
