NBA Playoffs 2015, Cavaliers vs Celtics Game 4: Full video highlights
By Josh Hill
The Cavaliers vs Celtics series was physical beyond belief, band Game 4 was the most intense playoff basketball game we’ve seen so far this postseason.
If you thought that the Boston Celtics were going to go quietly into the night this postseason, you were sorely mistaken. Not only did the Celtics come out brawling — literally — in Game 4, but they wore down the Cleveland Cavaliers in a way they haven’t been worn down all season long.
Cleveland will more than likely match up against the Chicago Bulls in the next round, but this Game 4 against the Celtics is going to be a seminal moment in their postseason run. Cleveland has been tested before this season, but they hadn’t been beat up like this before.
That’s either going to wake them up for their next potential series against the Bulls, or it’s going to show cracks that make them less likely to remain favorites to win the NBA Finals this year.
Here are the plays you’ll need to see from the Cavaliers vs. Celtics Game 4 showdown:
Early on in the contest, Kevin Love was forced to leave the game when he dislocated his shoulder after getting tangled up with Kelly Olynk.
The physical play of the game wasn’t going to be outdone by the Kevin Love play, as Kendrick Perkins got physical with the Celtics later on in the contest.
More physicality ensued when J.R. Smith clocked Jae Crowder in the face, sending the Celtics trash talker to the locker room with a knee injury that might be serious.
For his part in the incident, J.R. Smith was ejected.
The physicality of the game certainly raised the stakes for LeBron James, as he took every opportunity that he could to show up the Celtics and let them know he was about to put them away in the postseason.
The Boston Celtics came out balling in Game 4, and they very easily could have won each of these games so far against the Cavaliers. They’re not going anywhere — expect home for the time being — but Boston is going to bounce back and this is just the first of this team we’re seeing.
