Anthony Davis is a Complete Player

If you think his value stops when he scores a bucket then you should probably check yourself into a psychiatric ward. Davis is the definition of a complete player. He can score the basketball, defend in the post and guard forwards on the perimeter, distribute the ball like Magic Johnson, and grab rebounds full time.

This has only been exhibited by his numerous double doubles and his near quadruple double this year. Davis accumulated 42 double doubles this year, and I am surprised that number isn’t higher. He averaged 24.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists this year. In one game against the Denver Nuggets, he even almost got a quadruple double, a feat only four players have ever accomplished, as he tallied 36 points, 14 rebounds, nine blocks, and seven assists in a overtime loss.

Davis can just do it all. He is the type of player a franchise should build around. Offering him a max deal allows the Pelicans to do just that and I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t a serious title contender because of Davis in the coming years.
