Anthony Davis Is the Future of the Pelicans

Anthony Davis is the future of the Pelicans. There is no denying it. It is clear that the New Orleans organization is trying to build around him with players like Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday. They probably need another superstar to really be title contenders, but Davis is going to be the focal point.

If I was the owners of the Pelicans I would secure my franchise player with a max deal. He is going to be the face of the organization, so he is going to need to make his money. It’s not like Davis has had a history of freak injuries like Derrick Rose. Nor does he seem like he is going to slow down any time soon. So a max deal just makes sense.

Once again, Anthony Davis is one of those players that just doesn’t come around too often. He can do a little bit of everything on the court. And off it, he exhibits the same maturity that a 10 year veteran does despite being just 22 years old. Anthony Davis is the future. Pay the man, please.
