NHL Playoffs 2015, Capitals vs Islanders Game 7 live stream: Watch online
By Josh Hill
The Capitals vs Islanders are going to settle their series once and for all tonight in a critical Game 7 that will determine who moves on to face the New York Rangers.
After six hard fought games, we will finally see a winner in the Capitals vs. Islanders series. It’s become one of the best first-round series we’ve seen this postseason and it’s all come down to one game.
The Capitals have had chances to close this series out, but that’s true of the Islanders as well. They’ve had plenty of chances to come in and finish off Washington but neither team has been able to figure the other one out. That’s what makes this Game 7 so special, as it could literally go either way and there’s no telling who has the upper hand.
Washington is playing at home, which gives them an advantage by default but it by no means guarantees them anything. New York is gunning for an in-state series against the Rangers and this might finally be the season that the Islanders pop and become a special franchise.
Here’s a look at the updated NHL Playoff Bracket heading into the Capitals vs Islanders Game 7 tonight:
Islanders fans are fully invested in this playoff run as the fan base has seen so many lows over the past twenty years that being good again is not only new, but it’s exciting and unreal. Both of these fan bases need this series, but only one will get it. The big question is who will move closer in Game 4 and take control of the series?
