The Baltimore Orioles will resume play on Wednesday, but the game will be closed to the public.

The Baltimore Orioles will continue playing on Wednesday, after Tuesday’s game was postponed due to riots in the city.

The catch is that the game won’t be played in front of a crowd.

Aside from the game being closed to the public, it is also being moved up to a 2:05 p.m. start time from what was originally a 7 p.m. start time. They also announced that the postponed games from Monday and Tuesday will be made up in a double header on May 28th.

They’ve also relocated the following Orioles-Rays series to Florida, and the Orioles will still play as if they’re the home team even though they’re the away team.

As bizarre as that is, playing in front of an empty stadium will certainly be an eerie and odd scene for the televised game. The decision had to be made for the safety of the fans who would otherwise be attending.

Disturbing images surfaced of Orioles fans and protestors clashing before a game that no doubt played a role in this decision.
