Atlanta’s Al Horford does it all against the Nets

The Atlanta Hawks‘ series against the severly undermatched Brooklyn Nets is, surprisingly, tied at two games apiece after four games. Can the Hawks kick things into gear and put away the Nets? Well, Al Horford can, at least. Even if he has to do it all himself:

A rebound, two points, an assist, and a steal, all in seven seconds. Come on Al, you couldn’t at least get it under six so it could fit in a Vine? Way to slack off.

It seems like Horford decided to take matters into his own hands and polish off the Nets singlehandedly tonight. If he keeps up this pace every seven seconds for the entire game, he’ll finish with 822 points, 411 rebounds, 411 assists, and 411 steals.

So we can’t be that surprised if that’s his eventual stat line. Stranger things have happened.

…actually, no, they haven’t.

Even if he falls a bit short of those numbers, Horford is the key as the 60-win Hawks try to get a leg up on the surprising Nets. The Hawks were overwhelming favorites coming into the series, with some labeling the Nets as one of the worst playoff teams ever, so the current tied state of the series is very surprising, and it’s up to the Hawks to kick it up a notch. And if it takes 800 points, Al Horford is clearly prepared to deliver.
