TMZ reported that former basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was rushed to an L.A hospital on Wednesday morning following some chest pain. The incident comes just over a month after his quadruple coronary bypass surgery.
His hospitalization came just two hours after the star tweeted to fans saying he’s feeling better and recovering well. It’s a tweet that cements the theory this attack has come out of nowhere and he was clearly feeling in the best of health.
"“Doing fine & feeling better everyday.” – Karim Abdul-Jabbar’s twitter"
Reports go on to say that Kareem is currently being treated by doctors at the LA hospital but his people have not been in touch to give an update on his condition. Everyone knows that the recovery from such a serious surgery would be extremely long and difficult, even for a former athlete at the current age of 68. However the former Lakers star added this to his tweet prior to his medical emergency-
"“Doing my rehab w/the same mental commitment I had as a pro.”"
There has been an update on the stars health saying it was only a false alarm and that he’s doing fine.
After such extensive surgery there’s always going to be cause for concern and it’s understanable that there was such worry over his health. Fans have taken to twitter to voice their appreciation that the former ball player is okay.
Thankfully the incident appears to only be a false alarm and we obviously hope he continues his rehabilitation with great success.
