With the 29th pick in Mike Mayock’s NFL mock draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Cedric Ogbuehi, offensive tackle, from Texas A&M. Mayock has Ogbuehi rated as the fifth-best player at his position.

2014 Recap

The Colts won the AFC South for the second consecutive season, giving them a third-straight playoff appearance. Indianapolis beat the Cincinnati Bengals and upset the Denver Broncos before being humiliated 45-7 by the New England Patriots in the AFC title game.

Team needs

Indianapolis has a bevy of needs. The Colts have a weak offensive line, leaving them needing interior help and with a hole at right tackle. Andrew Luck has been using his magic arm and nimble feet to hide this problem, but it will eventually catch up with him. Defensively, general manager Ryan Grigson must find another cornerback and an inside linebacker to play alongside Jerrell Freeman. Safety is also a concern.

Last year’s pick

Indianapolis did not have a first-round pick after dealing it to the Cleveland Browns for Trent Richardson.

Scheduled pick

On Thursday night, the Colts hold the 29th-overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
