Mike Mayock’s mock draft is one of the most intriguing every year, see who he has the Carolina Panthers selecting.

The Carolina Panthers have somehow become the dominating team in the NFC South, and it’s a title that they’re hanging onto as long as they can. Many believed that they happened into the role of division champs last year, but the Panthers are defending back-to-back division champs, and they’ll remain as such until they’re bumped off.
So far, through two seasons, that hasn’t happened.
Carolina is learning to build through the draft, as they corrected a wide receiver problem last season by drafting Kelvin Benjamin out of Florida State in the first-round.
That’s no who Mike Mayock from NFL Network had them selecting, as he mocked the Panthers as selecting no one in his first-round mock last season. Mayock instead had the Oakland Raiders trading back into the first-round to draft Derek Carr in his mock draft — a pick that ended up happening but not until the second round.
This year, Mayock has the Panthers staying put in the first-round and selecting T.J. Clemmings from Pittsburgh.
The Panthers are actually pretty decent trade-down candidates in the draft this year. They select No. 25 overall and could be better served filling holes on offense by compiling picks in the second round and beyond.
If they stay put though and take Mayock’s advice, there won’t be many complaints in Panthers country this season.
