26. team. 126. The acquisition of Josh Hamilton becomes another quiet coup for the Rangers, as they badly needed the offense. Even if Hamilton is still a month away, it is a low-risk move for them. The team is collectively hitting .212/.297/.322 and owns just 13 home runs among the bunch. Any shot in the arm will help right about now.. . Previous: +1st. Texas Rangers

2. Mike Pelfrey, who wasn’t going to make the Twins rotation until Ervin Santana’s suspension, has quietly been the team’s best starter with a 2.25 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP. Outside of him, no other starter has an ERA under 4.30, but the bullpen trip of Casey Fein, Glen Perkins, and Aaron Thompson have helped alleviate the pain.. . Previous: -1th. Minnesota Twins. 27. team

6. Cole Hamels has rebounded nicely after a rough start, allowing just 1 earned run over his last 13 innings of work. Perhaps that is why Ruben Amaro dropped a hint that the Phillies would pick up some of his salary in a trade, as there are definitely some teams in need. With the Phillies not going anywhere soon, now is the time to get the rebuild moving.. . Previous: +1st. Philadelphia Phillies. 28. team

76. Despite their win total over their last 10 games, albeit from 2 to 5, Milwaukee has made it known that they will listen to offers on any player. It says a lot that the Brewers are already discussing trading away top talent, hoping that they can get as much as possible for Matt Garza and Kyle Lohse in a pitching starved market. It’s the right move and given the young players already in Milwaukee, could be a quick turnaround with the right pieces.. . Previous: -1th. Milwaukee Brewers. 30. team
