With the No. 32 pick in the NFL Draft the New England Patriots selected Texas Longhorns defensive lineman Malcom Brown.
The Super Bowl champion New England Patriots picked last in the first round, which is where they would love to be picking every single year, and drafted with their first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Bill Belichick isn’t perfect, but he always seems to get great value and add great players to fit the Patriots scheme and he did that again this year with the pick of Texas defensive tackle Malcom Brown.
He had 71 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks last year for the Longhorns and should be a part of the Patriots defensive line rotation immediately as a rookie and challenge for a starting spot with his ability to play the run and get to the quarterback, a rare trait for interior lineman.
Of course Patriots get Texas' Malcom Brown at end of first round: remarkably productive interior lineman who was rated much higher.

Early mock drafts had Brown going as high as the top-10 but for whatever reason slide to the last pick in the first round where the rich get richer. Brown should be a great fit in the Patriots locker room as a married father of two who brings all the intangibles to the team in addition to his ability as a disruptive defensive tackle.
With Vince Wilfork no longer in New England, Brown isn’t the next Wilfork, but he is a top 10-12 talent the Patriots got at 32. Now that’s incredible value and he could help them win another Super Bowl. He can line up all along the defensive line and he’s a player who got better each year at Texas.
Grade: A+
