The Denver Broncos have decided to draft Shane Ray despite his recent legal trouble
The NFL draft has been in full flow all evening and the internet is rampant with people talking about their teams picks. It’s been an exciting draft but a lot of people could have predicted how it’s gone down so far. The fact that Todd Gurley got picked so early is pretty much the only surprise of the night.
One of the high points of the night was Danny Shelton picking up the commissioner but sadly he didn’t drop him on his ass. Another big talking point of the night was the Broncos picking up Shane Ray in the 23rd overall pick.
Shane Ray as we all know got in a little bit of trouble for smoking pot and that put his first round selection in to serious doubt. Before getting caught with the imported cigarettes he was expected to get picked in the top 10, but you can understand why some teams questioned his decision making.
The fact that Colorado has legalized marijuana probably had nothing to do with his draft to the Broncos but the internet probably don’t see it that way.
Here’s how twitter reacted to Shane Ray being drafted by the Denver Broncos:
Wait....Shane Ray got caught with weed....Weed is legal in Colorado....Denver is in Colorado...Shane Ray is going to Denver....Jokes.

It's no coincidence that the Denver Broncos picked Shane Ray after he was cited for possession of marijuana... #Legalized
