The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t surprised anyone by picking Jameis Winston with their first pick in the first round of the NFL Draft

To say that the Buccaneers had an underwhelming 2014 season would be the understatement of the decade considering they won two games in total. I’m pretty sure the kids from ‘Little Giants’ would have done a better job in the NFL than the Buccaneers managed to do.

It’s the 5th time the franchise have held the first overall pick and it hasn’t always gone to plan. However, with a lot of talented players with big reputations up for grabs this year, it wasn’t that difficult for them to make the right call tonight.

After such a miserable 2014 season campaign fans in Tampa have been looking forward to this moment for quite some time, and they finally have reason to be happy. Is this a player that could change the fortunes at Tampa? Only time will tell, but who knows maybe they might win more than a couple of games next season. That’d be nice wouldn’t it Buccaneers fans?
