The NFL Draft is tonight, and the best prospects in the country showed up in style on the gold carpet — but no one had anything on Dante Fowler and his spiked golden shoes.

Tonight is when NFL Draft dreams are made a reality, and some of the best prospects in the country are showing up to Chicago to see where their future is going to take them. Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota aren’t there, but the absence of those two was fully made up by Dante Fowler.

The Florida Gators stud showed up to the red carpet in his best T-Pain suit and spiked gold shoes to match. Well, the didn’t match his white and red suit, but gold shoes with spikes on them matches everything. 

Dante Fowler was oozing swag on the gold carpet at the NFL Draft, and his shoes were so Ric Flair that they hurt — literally.

Those things are a weapon. Dante Fowler is literally dressed to kill on the Gold Carpet and his shoes are pretty much the coolest shoes that you’ve ever seen.

Basically, Fowler is wearing the punk rock version of Dorothy’s ruby slippers from The Wizards of Oz.

Also, they’re $7,000 shoes — that may or may not be some sort of NCAA violation, because it seems anything that is cool is an NCAA violation of some sort.

Fowler is a Top 10 prospect and he’s going to get picked somewhere in that region. When he does walk across the stage, those shoes are going to be on full display and it’s going to be a highlight of the night. The question is where will he go, as he cold go to Oakland, Washington or Jacksonville — which will make Fowler’s gold spiked shoes the highlight of his night as well.
