Manny Pacquiao has been going above and beyond to meet the requests and terms of  Floyd Mayweather Jr in preparation for their May 2 bout, and now he has even allowed for his cup to be examined

The absurdity of Floyd Mayweather has reached new heights as he wants to ensure that the cup which Pacquiao will be wearing will not be too big during their bout on Saturday night.

Earlier on Thursday, Pacquiao and his cup have been examined by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and a photo of the event has been posted on Twitter by ESPN’s Robert Flores, which you can view below.

Mayweather and Pacquiao are set to square off in arguably the most anticipated fight in boxing’s recent history, and make a fortune in the process.

Mayweather will take a bigger slice of the cake but everything the undefeated champion does and says picks away at his support and you have to think that the MGM Grand will be raucously behind the 36-year-old Filipino.

Both fighters will cash in on a legendary payday on Saturday night if the lucrative ticket sales are an indicator to go by, and New York Times estimates that the event’s pay-per-view broadcast could take in approximately $270 million, with an added $130 million on ticket sales, sponsorships, merchandise and other sources.

In total, the bout could rake in around $400 million, and in terms of revenue, both fighters will leave the ring with a win. But what’s on the line between Mayweather and Pacquiao goes far deeper than financial gain, hence the hype behind this fight.

Tune in on Saturday, May 5, to see these two legends of the sport finally step into the ring against one another.
