The 20-year-old forward was ejected from Game 6 of his Milwaukee Bucks’ first-round series with the Chicago Bulls after absolutely leveling Mike Dunleavy while the shooting guard was attempting a three late in the first half.
Take a look at the Greek Freak’s cheap-shot below:
"NFL Draft happening in Milwaukee now. https://t.co/iqDVVb5nuw — BBALLBREAKDOWN (@bballbreakdown) May 1, 2015"
Antetokounmpo was ultimately given a Flagrant II and ejected for the play, which was certainly a deserved punishment.
"Have to believe that might warrant disciplinary action into next season. Giannis took a run at Dunleavy. As dirty a play as you’ll see. — K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) May 1, 2015"
Unfortunately for Antetokounmpo, this likely ends his season as well. The Bulls are absolutely destroying the Bucks, as they hold a 65-33 lead at the half.
Antetokounmpo’s hit sure seemed like a frustration foul due to the lopsided affair. And he wasn’t the only Bucks player to lose their cool: O.J. Mayo received a technical for jawing with Jimmy Butler a few minutes before the Greek Freak’s foul.
