With the 18th pick in the NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select CB Marcus Peters
The Kansas City Chiefs finished with a 9-7 record last season and were just outside of the playoffs. The team will be looking to find more playmakers on offense to become a threat in the AFC. They are chasing after the Denver Broncos in the West and need to add a little more players on offense too become a threat.
The team already has Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis on offense and they were hoping to add an impact receiver to the team. The Chiefs didn’t get the opportunity to take DeVante Parker or Kevin White with the selection. Brandon Scherff wasn’t available for the team either, so the Chiefs had to look at other options with their pick.
Going into the draft, the Chiefs were looking to find a receiver, an offensive tackle or a corner to the team. With all the offensive talent off of the board, the team added a corner to the roster.
With the 18th pick in the draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select CB Marcus Peters. The team now has a solid corner to place with the pass rush that the team already has.
The defense gets another player to help slow down Peyton Manning. The team will be looking to take out the Broncos and the Chargers with their top defense. The Chiefs will still be looking to find some offensive weapons later in the draft when their selections come up in the next round.
