The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed Jameis Winston to a rookie deal, and he can now buy a ton of crab legs.

Less than a day after he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jameis Winston has signed his first NFL contract and is officially a pro.

Winston was drafted by the Buccaneers with the No. 1 overall pick on Thursday night, and it didn’t take him long at all to sign the first deal of his career. It’s been a whirlwind 24 hours for the former Florida State quarterback, as he went from being drafted to trolling himself in a way that already has people rolling their eyes at his selection atop the draft this year.

The now infamous crab legs instagram photo is Jameis Winston’s first decision as an NFL quarterback, and it was one that has been rather poorly received. That hasn’t slowed Winston’s progression into the pros though, as the Buccaneers wasted no time in signing him to his first contract on Friday.

According to Ian Rapport from NFL Network, Winston has signed a four-year, $25 million deal that gives him close to $17 million in guaranteed money.

This could be a good thing for the Buccaneers as it shows that Winston wanted to get a deal done that got him into the swing of things right away. There was no waiting around to hold out for more money or throwing weight around that he doesn’t yet have.

Winston’s deal also gives him $16.7 million in assured money, which means he doesn’t need to have people gift him with crab legs anymore, nor does he have to steal them. Instead, he can gorge on over $16 million worth of his favorite cuisine.
