EA unveils Winston and Mariota in Madden both available for download
For those owners of Madden NFL 15, quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota are already available for download. The first and second overall picks met with EA Sports prior to the draft where EA Sports used advanced photo-capturing equipment to get a complete and accurate images of each of the players.
Madden’s imaging software takes 16 photographs simultaneously from different angles which allows them to stitch these images together to create a 3-d image and a 3-d model. The cameras are fastened together in a semi-circle which sort of surround the target. The contraption is also easily movable, which allowed EA to image Winston and Mariota despite neither of them coming to Chicago for the draft.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston looks just about right in the red and black but something about Marcus Mariota in Titans blue seems unsettling and off to me. Fans of the Titans or Bucs can get a first look at their quarterback in action by using their likeness for a generated player and plugging them into their roster.
As it stands the players from this draft are currently only available on the Madden Ultimate Team. If you’re a Titans fan you could even try having a quarterback competition with a generated Mariota and Mettenberger in the preseason and base your decision on whom to start in week 1 based on how they perform in the preseason.
Unfortunately player rankings for the the 2015 NFL Draft class won’t be available for Madden 15. There may be user-generated player rankings which players can download to get a sense for their new draft picks, but official ratings won’t be released. For those of you wanting to play with Winston, Mariota, or any of the other 2015 NFL Draft picks in Madden 15 you will have to generate ratings yourself.
The likeness of other first round picks and more players from this year’s NFL Draft will be made available in the latest update for Madden 15. For those of you wanting to try out your team with official Madden player ratings with their flashy new quarterback, bruising running back, ball hawking corner, or T.Y. Hilton clone to pair up with T.Y. Hilton, you will have to wait for the release of Madden 16. Madden 16’s release date is officially set at August 25th, 2015.
