The NFL Draft got back underway on Friday night and the second round started with the New York Giants making a trade to select Landon Collins.

The NFL Draft got back underway tonight, and the New York Giants decided they wanted to make up for the lack of trades by making one to start the night.

Tennessee Titans fans were hearing all day about their team taking an offensive weapon to pair with Marcus Mariota, but that wasn’t the case when it was all said and done. The Titans ended up trading their second round pick, which was sort of anticlimactic after all the trade talk about the No. 2 pick on Thursday.

The New York Giants decided to trade up and take Landon Collins with the 33rd overall pick in the draft.

This was a no-brainer for the Giants, as they needed to find secondary help and they desperately needed a safety. There was a chance that New York moved up to take a receiver to compliment Odell Beckham Jr with, and cornerback is still position of need as well.

But Landon Collins came through an intense system that Nick Saban runs and he’s going to come in and fit a system that needs his talents and needs him to step up and be part of their next generation.
