After selecting Todd Gurley with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams are now open to exploring any moves involving Zac Stacy.

Just minutes after he watched the St. Louis Rams draft Todd Gurley, running back Zac Stacy took to Twitter to chime in on how he felt. How exactly did he feel about his team drafting his replacement? Well, not so good, posting a short, but sweet, “yikes” to all of his followers.

Georgia‘s Todd Gurley was one of the most electric running backs in the nation for the past three seasons, but he could never seem to stay 100 percent healthy. Gurley played in just six games during the 2014 season, yet he accumulated an impressive 911 yards and nine touchdowns on a career-low 123 carries.

Averaging a healthy 7.4 yards per carry was enough for the Rams as he was atop their big board for months and the team was going to jump on him if given the opportunity.

And jump on him they did, selecting him in the top 10 even though some experts had him falling to the mid-20s. Coming off season-ending ACL surgery probably had something to do with that, but the Rams were anything but scared away.

Stacy, however, seems to be a bit worried and he has asked the team for a trade or a release following the selection of Gurley — who I think should be given the nickname “yikes” from now on.

St. Louis seems to be open to the idea of moving the one-time formidable running back.

It seemed like Stacy didn’t want the competition from the beginning as he felt like the starting job was his. After a stellar rookie campaign in which he fell just shy of 1,000 yards, Stacy followed that up with a sophomore slump, averaging 3.9 yards per carry once again, but finishing the 2014 season with less than 300 yards.

The Rams would be wise to move Stacy since he seems pretty unhappy with the situation at hand. I mean, how happy can someone be when they know that their replacement has been hired?

Stacy can still be a serviceable NFL running back for a team looking desperate for a starter. He is a No. 2 guy on most teams, but he seems to think he can channel his rookie days when he was taking the league by storm.

It will be interesting to see where he lands.
