The rush to buy the pay-per-view event between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao has caused some systems to jam up.

Sports fans everywhere are excited and thrilled to watch the boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. It is being billed as the “Fight of the Century” and has been incredibly hyped, partly in part because fans have been clamoring to see this fight for five to six years.

Despite the fact that the pay-per-view will cost you $100, there are still expectations that this fight will bring in a record number of buys. We’re getting an early indication that so many people are trying to buy the event that television providers are seeing their systems jam up from the overwhelming traffic.

One cable company has publicly commented on the issue, which supports Rovell’s report. They don’t specifically refer to the pay-per-view buying system, but about the feed.

Either way, something isn’t working.

Fans on Twitter are complaining about the issue, even Piers Morgan.
