FanDuel Lineups For May 4

May the fourth be with you! It is hard to believe we are already to May as this year has literally been flying by. It seems like just yesterday that we were ushering in the New Year and going over our fantasy New Year’s resolutions list. Well I truly hope that you are doing well in this year and that you find yourself in a great spot in life. I also hope to bring you a smashing lineup for your daily fantasy rosters and that we see ourselves well over 350 fantasy points.

We are starting out with our PG picks and we will be rolling with Derrick Rose and Kyrie Irving. Rose has had a case of the streaks lately and has had his share of good games and duds. There is something about facing the Cavaliers with LeBron James that will bring Rose in focused and ready to go. Rose has to play like he has a chip on his shoulder and prove his naysayers and critics wrong. Now is the time for him to show out and destroy his critics argument that his injuries have ruined his career. Irving has been pretty spectacular for the bulk of the playoffs and will no doubt be on point for this series against the Bulls.

At SG we will lock up Iman Shumpert and J.J. Reddick. I like going with the value plays at SG as it can be a bit harder for some of these guys to rack up the numbers  when they are not named James Harden. I don’t mind going with Harden here at all, but my preference for a large salaried player is Blake Griffin as he has just been off the charts with his numbers during the playoffs. Both Shumpert and Reddick should be good to land us in the neighborhood of 50-55 fantasy points here.

At SF we are mildly devoid of options due to salary restrictions and actually wind up leaving $1100 on the table. I simply can not find anywhere that I like to upgrade and spend this money and have learned that it is actually okay to leave some money here. We are starting Mike Dunleavy and Trevor Ariza. Dunleavy is coming off of a very nice 30 point fantasy game where he probably saw some extra touches due to the blowout, but the Bulls will need him to play well here to beat the Cavs. Ariza has been a bit streaky but should be good to get us over the 20 point fantasy mark and at a mildly reasonable salary.

We will rely heavily upon the game of Blake Griffin as our starting PF. Our other PF is Josh Smith who has been a huge boost for the Rockets. Between these two guys I am hoping to see upwards of 80 fantasy points and we have the capability of 100 fantasy points sitting here at the PF positions.

  • Our C is Timofey Mozgov and like a lot of our lineup he has been a bit streaky during the playoffs. My hope is that the Cavs will need him to be more involved with the absence of Kevin Love and he should certainly be more active on the boards with Love’s absence. We could easily be staring at a 30 plus point fantasy night for the big man and that is what the Cavs need and it will benefit us as well. As always thanks for stopping by and good luck to you FanDuelers!
