The Orlando Magic’s head coaching search could be dependent on if Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau is fired, according to a report from Josh Robbins of The Orlando Sentinel.
Apparent friction with the front office could lead to Thibodeau and the Bulls parting ways whenever their playoff run ends. If that does indeed happen, Thibodeau would instantly be the top coach on the market.
The Magic apparently haven’t interviewed anybody in the two-and-a-half weeks since their season ended. Orlando appears confident that Thibodeau will leave Chicago and that he will come coach the Magic.
Thibodeau would be a great fit for a team that has some intriguing pieces on its roster, but waiting could be a risky move.
