2015 Dynasty League Rookie RB Rankings

This year’s NFL Draft was very exhilarating for dynasty owners because running backs did not come off the board as quickly as most people were expecting. The Dallas Cowboys didn’t draft a running back this year, which is a glaring need for the team, and the most prestigious landing spot for any running back in this draft.  Along with the Cowboys not taking a running back, only 2 running backs were drafted in the 2nd round (TJ Yeldon & Ameer Abdullah), which we were expecting the 2nd round to be a big round for the running back position. We saw 4 more running backs get selected in the 3rd round (Tevin Coleman, Duke Johnson, David Johnson, and Matt Jones). Tevin Coleman and David Johnson both went to grand situations where they will expect to compete for a portion of the workload. Duke Johnson was selected by the Browns, which is a murky situation because the running back position for Cleveland is shared by Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West. Matt Jones was a surprise when he was drafted by the Redskins in the 3rd round. Matt Jones was expected to be a late round pick. Jay Ajayi fell all the way to the 5th round to the Miami Dolphins, due to having issues with his knee.

Below are the top 16 rookie running backs. Situation, Talent, and where the running back was selected in the draft was a major factor when it came to making the rankings. The rankings are a guide to help you make the proper selections in your rookie drafts. If there is a player you like more than I do then select them, because you have to get your guys.
