Fanduel Hitter Options For May 6
Catcher:
Brian McCann, Yankees ($3,100) McCann may be a bit overpriced here but he has hit well against Buehrle and should hit safely for us here today as well.
Cheaper Option:
Mike Zunino, Mariners ($2,300): Zunino has batted well against C.J. Wilson going 4/13 with a homer and 4 RBI. He has also been fairly hot the past few games and batted safely in all but one of those.

First Baseman:
Freddie Freeman, Braves ($3,400): Freddie Freeman is batting .500 against Jerome Williams and he’s been on a pretty decent streak here lately so I will give him a run today. I actually like the price tag here for Freeman and don’t mind spending this kind of money for that kind of pop in a bat.
Cheaper Option:
Kelly Johnson, Braves ($2,700): Kelly Johnson is coming off a 10.75 points fantasy outing yesterday and gets the aforementioned Jerome Williams as well. Johnson owns a pretty nice record against Williams as well with .391 batting average.
Second Baseman:
Robinson Cano, Mariners ($3,400): Cano because he has to heat up and hit a few homers at some point, right? Cano also sports a .268 batting average against Wilson and should at least hit safely in this game. Cano has several games recently where he has logged multiple hits so I am hoping he does so here too.
Cheaper Option:
Neal Walker, Pirates ($2,700): Neal Walker sports a decent .264 average against Mike Leake, but even more than that has recorded 12 RBI off of him. If he is able to just hit a few and knock in some runs then that makes him an affordable cheap play here.
Third Baseman:
Adrian Beltre, Rangers ($2,800): Beltre may not be hitting well on the season, but on his career against Samuel Deduno he sports a nice .500 batting average with 10 at bats while hitting two homers and four RBI. He is worth the price here for me.
Cheaper Option:
Lonnie Chisenhall, Indians ($2,400): If you really need to go any cheaper here you might need to look to cut somewhere else. Chisenhall has been decent lately, but sports an 0/7 career against Danny Duffy who has pitched pretty well his last few innings. I don’t really recommend anyone cheaper here.
Shortstop:
Starlin Castro, Cubs ($3,100): Castro is very familiar with Lance Lynn and owns a pretty nice .333 average against him with 33 at bats. Castro has also been playing pretty well lately and is a nice candidate here for us st SS.
Cheaper Option:
Asdrubal Cabrera, Indians ($2,500): Cabrera has been mired on a bit of a cold streak but is a solid 3/5 against Justin Masterson lifetime. This could be a good time for him to break out of the mini-slump and get back on track.

Outfield:
Ryan Braun, Brewers ($3,400): Braun has not been playing too well lately so he comes in at a nice price point and allows us to risk getting some pop in our lineup today. Braun is also 2/3 with two home runs against Joe Wieland.
Andrew McCutchen, Pirates ($3,800): I really like McCutchen’s price here. He has hit safely against Leake for the most part with a .246 average and has gone yard on him twice. Any time you can get one of the best players in baseball in your lineup at a reduced price count me in.
Michael Brantley, Indians ($4,100): Brantley has been too hot to ignore here. He has scored over five games fantasy points in his last five games and sports a solid .375 batting average against Leake as well.
Cheaper Options:
Jason Heyward, Cardinals ($2,900): Heyward has a .583 batting average against Jon Lester and should be able to hit safely against him today as well. He is playing pretty decent as of late and is a nice price point here.
Shin-Soo Choo,Rangers ($2,800): Choo is riding a nice little five game hitting streak and could be a nice play for us today as well. He is batting .300 lifetime against Deduno and it makes sense to ride him while he is hot.
