Bryce Harper had quite the game on Wednesday afternoon as he blasted three home runs. Shortly after his game, he attended the Washington Capitals playoff contest.

Bryce Harper is one of those guys who you look at and can just tell they’re good at what they do. He carries himself with a type of swagger and confidence that is almost contagious. On Wednesday afternoon, the Washington Nationals‘ slugger had himself a game as he knocked three balls out of the park and drove in five runs.

Shortly after his career game, he was seen in attendance at the Washington Capitals‘ playoff game against the New York Rangers. It was a crucial Game 4 and the Caps needed a win to go up 3-to-1 in the series, and they did just that.

Harper, a 22-year-old superstar, was in a bit of a slump before Wednesday’s game, hitting just .058 in the month of May. However, his breakout game brought the average for the month up to .190 and three of his four hits this month have now been home runs.

On the year, Harper is hitting a tab under .270 with eight home runs, 20 RBI and a .416 on-base percentage. He has had a solid start to the year, but has struggled majorly of late.

How did he celebrate his best game of the young season? By heading down the road to the Capitals playoff game to cheer on his fellow Washington professional athletes.

Fresh off his best game as a Nat, Harper had time, and somehow energy, to take in a playoff game for his city’s favorite hockey team.

Clearly winning is contagious because the Capitals won the game over the Rangers and took a 3-1 series lead, heading into Game 5. Although, Harper did look a little weird donning a hockey jersey — maybe that’s the reason he picked baseball as a kid.

All jokes aside, it’s cool to see guys from Washington professional teams cheering each other on as Paul Pierce was seen at a Caps playoff game just over a week ago — even banging on the glass to try and rattle the opponents.

This seems like a town of cross-promoting athletes, which is a refreshing thing to see in professional sports.
